Rogers and Benepe Among Livability Challenge Experts
Americans choose the places they want to live based, in part, on their physical appeal and vibrancy. A city that prioritizes art, beauty and nature understands that aesthetics matter in a global economy because they distinguish one place from another and create attachment.
In just one month, CEOs for Cities, the Central Indiana Community Foundation and Indianapolis Downtown Inc. will convene a team of national experts in Indianapolis to lead a strategic conversation on the role of aesthetics in creating the next generation of great American cities.
Lead by Will Rogers, President & CEO, Trust for Public Land, that team includes the following: Adrian Benepe, Commissioner, NYC Department of Parks & Recreation; Don Carter, Director, Remaking Cities Institute, Carnegie Mellon; David Rubin, Partner, OLIN; and Lily Yeh, Principal, Barefoot Artists.
The Livability Challenge will take place October 11-13, 2010 in Indianapolis, IN.
